We are now the leading developer platform for mobility businesses across North America and Europe serving amazing customers including brands like British Petroleum (BP), Turo, NRG, and more.

Innovative mobility companies use our API platform to verify mileage, issue digital car keys, manage EV charging schedules, monitor fleets, and much more. 

 As Smartcar’s VP of Sales, you will own scaling the sales org from a revenue, team size and process perspective.

This role is remote within California or New York. We’d love for you to join us!

Key Responsibilities

  • Consistently deliver on the team’s quarterly revenue goals
  • Assist your team by strategically navigating complex enterprise sales cycles
  • Build out training materials for SDRs, AEs, AMs and any future roles that would fall under sales
  • Onboard, coach, and mentor your team to achieve their career aspirations while maintaining high retention
  • Monitor every stage of the pipeline and provide support to AEs as needed
  • Own headcount planning for the sales organization
  • Collaborate with recruiting to find qualified candidates and move them quickly in the interview process
  • Architect, setup, and uphold strong CRM hygiene expectations within Salesforce
  • Build compensation plans and ensure alignment with your team on expectations
  • Own sales reporting and forecasting for your team, the company, the founders, and the board
  • Set quotas based on projected sales targets
  • Collaborate with Marketing to generate leads and with Customer Success for smooth handoffs
  • Continue developing and evolving the go-to-market strategy including new vertical expansions, new geographic regions, and pricing
  • Move fast to iterate, refine, and scale a successful repeatable sales process
  • Develop a strong understanding of Smartcar’s product, customer base, how our technology is used, and the value it provides
  • Stay up-to-date with the competitive landscape, our product offerings and our roadmap
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to share product feedback with engineering

Who You Are

  • Experience managing a high performing sales organization at a SaaS company
  • Experience in an enterprise account executive role at a SaaS company
  • Successful track record of high quota attainment as a manager and individual contributor in enterprise sales
  • Experience scaling a sales team from a few members to 10+
  • Track record of strong team morale and retention
  • Data driven with strong analytical skills for reporting and forecasting
  • Experience building out sales training materials 
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills


Your Team

Compensation and Benefits Package

  • Base salary determined by years of experience: $180,000 - $250,000
  • Uncapped commission plan
  • Equity
  • Remote work within CA or NY
  • Health, Dental and Vision covered at 90% for all plans and 80% coverage for dependents, which amounts to approximately $11,000 a year
  • 401K matching at 4%
  • Unlimited PTO
