Rightfoot offers a developer platform for companies to embed debt payments into their financial stack. Our “piping” streamlines payments across a fragmented market of loan servicers that are still running systems built on COBOL in the 1970s. While Rightfoot started by enabling student debt repayment, our vision is to develop the first comprehensive suite of simple debt repayment APIs to address the $14T of US consumer debt.
Systematic racism has led to Black and LatinX borrowers holding an outsized portion of student debt. Women hold two-thirds of all debt, despite equal graduation rates. LGBTQ+ borrowers hold $15k more than their peers. Rightfoot is on a mission to empower thousands of developers, creators, and businesses to break apart the American debt crisis.
Rightfoot is growing fast. Founded at Stanford Business School, we recently raised a $5M seed round led by Bain Capital Ventures, with participation from Co-founder of Plaid, CRO of Marqeta, Founder of Earnest, executive at Cash App, and former COO of Venmo.
What's good to know :
We are female founded and place a large emphasis on creating an inclusive work environment. We are constantly adapting our team and product based on data-driven experiments that we run every 2 weeks. We think being resourceful is just as much about time as it is about capital - we value output, not how many ours you put in.
